Default Tire question

Should you check/fill tires to proper psi with bike off the ground (on the stand) or sitting on the ground (with weight of the bike on the tires)? Or does it matter?

Just do it while the tires are still cold.

No, adding or removing weight doesn't affect air pressure in the tires.

Only thing would add a couple lbs extra with a heavy load wouldbe a bad idea .. as long as don't exceed sidewall PSI I have 36 front and 40PSI Rear (cold) to work pretty well on Tourers myself

you check tire pressure while it's on the jiffy stand before a ride, when the tires are cold.

Hum, I always wondered if I should check my air pressure at sea level or on Pike's peak?
