Dude, with what they offered as far as a interest precentage, and the other stuff, looks o.k. to me. May want to check with your own bank tho to see if you can get a better rate........would recommend getting the 1st three services pre-paid. It's saved me some moola through the first 2........JMHO.
Sell your Shadow outright on either e-bay or cycle focus or something like that. HD is unlikely to give you anything near blue book value on a used metric. I've never tried a Road King, but the Electra Glides I know are very nice and at your height, you won't have any problem with feeling like your too small on that. Look into a 09 like everyone else says, you should be able to get a deal with the 10's coming in.
per HD website:
road king classic: $17,999
color:$380
security:$345
Total: $18,724He is taking 1,000 off of that, plus 500 off for the setup fee=
Basically $17,224 for the bike before taxes and registration.
HD is offering 4.9% for qualified buyers (i am right at the edge i think) which goes until the 10th, or tomorrow. Otherwise its like 10%. What do banks usually charge for bike loans? I thought I heard you could knock like $2000 off plus the setup fees, especially with the '10s coming out. They have about 3 road king classics on display, plus another couple in back...and this is not a large store. should I play hardball and ask for another grand off and I will sign the papers tomorrow? I have no idea of the markup on HDs....
Edit:I will NOT be trading the Honda in. I may keep it for a while as it is worth about what I owe, if not a little less on the street. This deal will be bought by itself with no trade. He threw taking 1500 off like it was nothing yesterday and today when I went for some basic numbers he took it off again. New salesman too, maybe I can get a better deal?
Call other dealers in the area to see if they will beat that deal. Some don't discount, others do. Most offer 20% off accessories with the bike purchase. Some will include the 1000 mile service with the deal.
