Default Hidden Antennas - they work?

Hey guys:

I'm thinking about one of these - the HA-2 for my 2009 FLHTC. Anyone used this or similar active hidden antenna care to share their results?

Thanks,

I have a inner fairing mounted atenna on my bike, part of a Biketronics package. Good product, but when you get out in the boonies, the reception is very poor.

They will not work WELL unless you are in a strong signal area, but they do work. It is a sacrifice to use them. Depends on individual if the sacrifice of good reception is worth it or not.

A 15 buck rubber shorty from the auto parts store zip-tied under your fairing works great.

One was already installed when I bought my FLHTC... At least that's what they told me. Mine seems to work just fine...

Just installed one of those and it works great. Its nice not having the ant mast in the way all the time. I am in the boonies and get all my channels.

Cool

I live in North Ga and it only works with local stations. Went to a rubber stubby and it works great for Atlanta and Athens stations about 50 + miles distance. Also I like the rubber stubby on the back.

Have one similar to the HA2 from Ebay. About the same price and works pretty good. Same reception that I can tell so far.
