2004 rkc
Hello, I am considering buying a 2004 rkc with low miles on it. Is there any known issues with this year model that I should be aware of? Thanks for the info and all the knowledge on this site.

2004 a good year
Just the cam tensioners...I changed mine to gear drive at about 16k and they looked as good as new so I don't know. I have heard several mechanics say that the 2004 is one of the better years for the MOCO. I have a 2004 RK and it has been a flawless ride. Mine is carbed not injected and I don't know if that makes a difference!

Short money for the amount of work and parts...I think maybe 1200. from an independent shop. No need if the bike has low mileage. Maybe have em checked at your first service to see how much life left in them. Checking them is labor intensive as they have to remove some parts to look. Use this cost as a bargaining tool when purchasing!!!
