Electraglide Standard Tach acting up....

Electraglide Standard Tach acting up....
Hey guys,
Since you guys were super helpful in the past when I was working on my old man's HD, I thought I'd pop back for more help...lol. PS: I have since installed a Biketronics stereo, and HD factory cruise on his bike and he's loving it so far!!
Anyway, after a couple long runs in heavy rain, his tachometer started acting up....would work, then sometimes it wouldn't, ot it would be off by different amounts, and just plain acting funky. Now, he says it doesn't work at all. Is there a common problem that I should look for? Areas or items to invesitigate? I would really appreciate any help on where to start troubleshooting this.
PS: Anybody know where I can can a digital copy of the FSM (Factory Service Manual) for this bike? Or, at least an electrical diagram?
Bike is a 2006 Electra~Glide Standard with FI. I believe that makes it an FLHTI?

Sorry about the "boys" thing...hehehe. I've been on these forums for years (not Harley forums) and made a lot of wonderful friends....it's just a habit I guess...lol.
