Default Cam Change

I have a 2007 FLHX with 11K on her. When changing cams should I pull oil pump out and replace the yellow o-ring attached, or would it be best not to disturb the oil pump at all.

If you don't pull the pump, then there is no need to replace the o-ring in the rear. When I changed mine out I didn't disturb it and didn't replace it. Do replace the oil passage o-rings though.

You might want to check pump alignment, read a few posts here that pump alignment was causing the oil through the filter scenario.

In general the o-ring is very tough and not easily damaged. I would be more worried about the pump not staying in alignment.

Anytime you reassemble you should do the pump alignment. As for just the o-ring, don't worry about it if you aren't pulling the pump.
