Default 09' Street Glide Problems...

*****UPDATE*****

I have a 09' SG.... Now I have a loud noise coming from the right side to rear of the bike...sounds like metal rattling.... like a loose washer on a bolt or something... I have taken off the mufflers.... side bags... I noticed the side bags were rubbing on the back shocks...that was also causing some noises...
My neighbor just bought a 2010 Electraglide Classic.... same set up as the SG..same engine.... His bike is soooo quite.... like mine used to be...That's why im thinking something is wrong...
Tonight I think I found the noise area... It is the Rear brake Rotor..when I tap on it it produces the like sounds im hearing... It does not do it all the time... I have yet been able to talk to harley about this yet... Front and back brakes make a rubbing sound...my dealer says its normal.....
I bought my bike New in may...still waiting on the speakers as mine were blown when I bought it..the Oil pressure guage was not working..found out it was wired wrong...
When the bike warms up...I get a rattle in the engine..thought it was just the harley sound....but it just started after 3K mile..... I can only hear it when it is warm/hot normal riding...

Check the rubber block/bushing that holds the muffler up right under the saddlebag. Mine came out and it was making sounds like you describe while riding. The metal arm was still supporting the muffler but there was slop in it and metal-to-metal contact because that rubber block had slipped out. Good luck, ride safe.

Same thing happened to me. I hope your fix is this simple.

I had a sound on my09 SG and it was a rubber mnt for the rear fender that had slipped. Quick fix by the dealer under warranty. Hope its that simple for you as well! Safe Rides to You!

Dang noises anyway. I'm getting a loude one now too. Almost sounds like the license plate vibrating against metal. I'll check the above items too.

Brought my bike to work this morning and noticed the same noise from the back of my '06 SG. How ironic that this thread is just sitting here. Will check tonight for some of the things mentioned.
