Default Heel shifter poll

I thought it might be interesting to find out how many touring bikes have opted to remove the heel shifter. I have been contemplating removing mine, just wanted to see what others have done.

no comment. it's classified information, besides, the heel shifter is there so the passenger can shift when your foot gets tired.

I like using it reminds that I'm riding a Harley.

didn't like it when I got my first HD, but have grown to like it over the years. thought about taking it off a few times, but it is handy when you are riding bare foot!!

Broke the toe shifter and turned the heel shifter into a toe shifter. I had already removed it, when I broke the toe shifter(don't ask). Got the chrome spacer from Ace Hdwe for 3.00.

So many years riding dirtbikes and other motorcycles without heel shifters i took off mine on my SG.

All i did was keep hitting it with my big feet , it was always in the way

I was used to bikes without it but I started to use it and sort of dig it now. It's about 50/50. I don't use the heel shifter when I'm feeling lazy or looking for some quicker shifts. The heel shifter gets used when I'm in a all out Harley mood.

Used it all the time on my old FLSTF, used it most of the time on my Road King, for some reason I almost never use it on my Street Glide...Not sure why.

You need another choice - "use heal shifter sometimes"

I use it, but not often.
