Default Touring Fork Plugs

I am wanting to remove the air lines on my front forks on my Electra Glide,
Fill them with Heavy Duty Fluid, and be done with the air suspension on my bike. Does any one have a part number or directions on what size plug/cap I would need to replace the air-line fitting? My bike is a 1999 Electraglide. Thanks Again.

Why?

It's your bike, so of course you do whatever you like, but why not just put in the heavier oil, and retain the air capability to stiffen it up even more when you want to?

What do you gain by removing the air system?

Kevin,
Jamie's bike had the same setup and we removed it.
Take a fork cap to a hardware store and just get a set screw for it.
It'll be metric, I don't recall the size.
Be sure the use some teflon tape on the threads.

Simply change the fork oil and add no air. Leave the air system in place. It works great for quick fork oil changes.

When you remove the banjo bolt for the air fitting, just take it to the hardware store and match it. Put an o-ring on it for good measure. Then send me one of the banjo bolts so I can hook mine back up. If you decide to keep the air hooked up, make damn sure you don't over tighten the banjo bolt. Ask me how I know......
