I can drop the Arnott Q's down to 10.5 with out bottoming out on bumps and the ride is still good.

Thanks for all of the replies. My 2004 RK Standard already has the HD lowering kit in the front (down 1") and the Street Glide style shocks (lowered 1") installed on the rear end. I've looked at the spring-only type like Progressive and since I'm only 170, the standard springs would do me just fine, I think Progressive calls for the HD springs over like 220 lbs. I like the air adjustability of the shorter stock style shocks, I believe they're Ultima chrome bodied shocks, which are pretty good, but I think there are better quality out there.

The Arnott shocks are a nice set up, but over $900.00 for the shocks and air pump are a little out of the budget for the time being. As far as scraping floorboards, just tells me that I've leaned about as far as the bike really wants to go, besides, a Road King really isn't a high speed sport bike anyway.

I guess I've got a few more things to check out, this may be a good winter project.

I ride the progressive 11.5" HD 412's and I love the ride and look of them. Had to play with the settings to dial it in for me but otherwise they are a great product.

I just pulled the trigger in the other direction. I like the ride of my stock sg shocks, but my wife hates it. I went with the ohlins 13.25" shocks for more passenger comfort. The slammed look doesn't mean anything to me at all. I am just looking for as much comfort as possible for my wife. I'll let you guys know if it was a comfort upgrade or not when I get them installee and ride a bit.

Bitchin Baggers claim their shocks wont bottom out, and Tringle says his bottom out on bumps, was considering the Bitchin Bagger shocks but may have to look elsewhere now.
