Default Moved Gauges Around

It is hard to see because of the angle of the pic, but I could not see my Fuel Gauge so I moved my gauges around on my 09 Ultra. My GPS and Sirius was blocking the fuel gauge and I did not like that. So, I moved the Air Temp Gauge to the Fuel Gauge position, the Volt Meter to the old Air Temp position, and the Fuel Gauge to the old Volt Meter Position. I now have Fuel and Oil on the right, Air and Volt on the left. Here is a pic:

How are you gonna manage to ride that thing without the essential information that the ambient air temp guage offers? Doesn't seem safe to me, not safe at all!

Thought about doing that myself but had not had a chance to see if the harnesses would allow it. Good to know they do.

I might give this a try. My XM blocks my fuel gauge a little. Looks good, nice swap.

I believe that voids the warranty.

Why would it void the warranty?

You have to cut off all the conduit, and take a lot of electrical tape off, then you have to pull the female spade connectors out of the gray plastic connectors on both sides. You can leave the black connectors where they are, they are just for the lights. They work in any gauge. Then you will have *just* enough wire to work with to make the swap.

Not sure how moving a gauge is any different from taking out the air temp and putting in the oil temp gauge.

Because you've taken the capacitive resistance from the wire that normally skews to the left and made it right...Therefore putting an undue load of a 16 gauge wire on an 18 gauge wire. An ohm meter will show you this.

In addition, the movement of the gauges, adds a voltage increase to the flux capacitor by picking up magnetic induction through the speedometer wiring and internal resistance buffering.

Get it..............
