That's what I was gonna say. I've used it before on bikes (not sure if it was VHT or not) but it works great on blinkers.
Yeah, I used it on the clear lenses on our old Yammy, they came out great. I have buddies that have used it on tail lights for cars as well. It works better if you can spray the inside of clear lenses.
To the OP, if you do this, you can get VHT nite shades at most auto parts stores. I would pull out the reflectors and clean the channels out real good. With some real fine grit sand paper I would scuff the reflectors a little, then do a few light coats (its a rattle can) be careful, if you don't do it evenly, the drips can be real noticeable. Also 3 coats gets VERY dark. Once it dries, hit them with a coat of wax and they will shine. 3M tape will get them back on. I bet they will still reflect red enough to be seen
ya hve to scuff em with sandpaper then use paint specially for plastic, vht night shades ain't bad, regular paint will bubble I gave up and just bought a set of covington latches
