So the Radio Shack Install. So I was having a problem getting the red and black wire from the siren to connect with the bike. I was trying to get the wires in the top small holes not realizing that the bottom larger holes have a connection as well. I went to O'Reillys to see if they had the connector just to make a more professional connection. However, they did not have that connector. I tried using a number of electrical connections but found that after soldering the wires and using the larger hole everything worked out. For now. it is pretty sensitive and I am concerned the wires may shake loose with riding. I electric taped them to the connector but that took a little tinkering to get the connection to stay. The wires from the siren are so thin they bend easily and are difficult to get to stay.
Can anyone please post or pm me those programming instructions? I want to be able to ride the bike to the dealer to program the fobs but I'd like to do all of the physical install at home first.
Instructions on changing the PIN, and switching to different modes (like transport mode) is in your owners' manual...also available online at the H-D corporate site (click on Owners...maintain Your Bike and create a username/password/profile to access your manual if you don't have one).
When I installed a TSSM in my 08 FLHT, I found it very useful to 1) pull the headlight fuse, as it lowers the battery drain while the bike is powered up during programming, and 2)use a timer so i'd know when the 10-minute wait times are up.
Keep the 'cheat sheet' on how to use the manual PIN in your wallet or somewhere handy...

Thank you for that link. Just a couple of questions (while I wait for the system to arrive in the next few days):
1. Where it says "then toggle the Left Turn Signal switch twice", does that mean on then off or does that mean on/ off two times?
2. It mentions "Password Learning mode for 10 minutes", this does not have anything to do with creating the PIN does it? I assume no and that this occurs when the FOBS are mated, but the wording sounded interesting.
Got it done tonight, found the system locally today. I guess toggle twice means two clicks total. BTW, I know it was mentioned before, but it is very important to pull the 40 amp fuse on the left side of your bike, I missed that step initially and the programming didn't work. After pulling the fuse, waiting a few seconds, re installing the fuse and trying the sequence again, it worked like a charm.
I will also add that even though the bike now starts (and I haven't taken it into the dealer to mate the fobs), the red security key light is on all the time when the bike is running. I hope this is normal until after I pair the fobs. Thanks again for the help, I am sure this saved me some $$ at the dealer because now all charge for is pairing fobs, which will only be a 1/2 hour labor at most.
I keep hearing that you must take your harley to the dealer to have your fobs married to the system. I was told by my dealer that if your harley was purchased without security, then they actually have to flash your ECM to tell it you now have a security system. This process will also marry the fobs. Is this an accurate statement?
The procedure in this thread is what tells your ECM that you now have security installed, which either you can do by following the steps or your dealer can do for you. Unfortunately, the next part, which is getting the fobs to connect to the security module can only be done by a dealer. I added security to both my softail and my streetglide and I did the physical install myself because I wanted the dealer to do as little as possible and charge me as little as possible. Some dealers will physically install the hardware, marry to the ecm and program the fobs for about the same price, but my dealer charges about a half hour labor for each of the 3 steps, so I saved an hour of labor by doing this on each of my bikes.
All total, this cost me about $250 for the alarm and about $50 for dealer fees per bike. $300 each is well worth it in my opinion.
I purchased a new TSSM module for my '13 Road Glide Custom which did not come with security. I tried the programming instructions above and after numerous failed attempts I figured I was doing something wrong. I found another thread with these instructions to marry the new TSSM to the ECU and bingo, first time was the charm. Off to the dealer next week so he can program the key FOBs.

Ignition must be off for at least 15 seconds.
Install TSM/HFSM or ECM
Set engine stop switch to RUN
Turn ignition switch to ignition
Wait for engine and security lights to illuminate and then go out
Attempt normal start one time
Engine should start then stall and engine light should illuminate and stay on
Wait ten seconds then security lamp should illuminate
Wait for security lamp to go out (1o minutes)
Then turn ignition to off and back to ignition within one second
Security lamp should illuminate and wait for it to go out (10 minutes)
Then turn ignition to off and back to ignition within one second
Security lamp should illuminate and wait for it to go out (10 minutes)
Then turn ignition to off and back to ignition within one second
Then turn ignition switch to off for at least 15 seconds and then turn on and start bike.
See how you go with that but I would put the original TSM back in clear all codes and start again if I was you.
