Default Mixture screw location?

This is driving me mad as I cannot locate the mixture screw on a standard carb from a 1999 Road King, any pics would be appreciated ?

look on the bottom of the carb toward the intake manifold, you may see a plug that need to be drilled and remove and allow access to the mixture screw, it will take a small screw driver and it set recess about a half inch inside the hole. most I have seen nowadays the plug has already been drilled and removed. you do not have to install a new plug, that was for anti tampering emissions.

1/8 drill bit will remove the plug.

The mixture screw is located behind the float bowl in a tube casting extending down from the center of the carb body. It's about the same daimeter as a pencil and is approximately 5/8" long.
You will have to remove the carb from the bike. Take a 1/8" drill and carefully drill a hole in the plug. It is pretty thin so be careful not to push so hard as to damage the screw beneath when the drill bit breaks through. Then take a #8 sheet metal screw and screw it into the hole. Keep screwing (no pun intended) until the plug comes out of the tube. Now look into the tube and you will see the recessed mixture screw that adjusts with a small (1/8 blade) flat screwdriver. Reinstall the carb and filter and you're now ready to adjust that baby.

Thanks for the info. I am amazed that the dealer didn't remove this when they added the stage 1?
Or do they install another plug afterwards (not)!
