I have come full circle searching for the right mufflers for my sg. In 2 yrs i have tried several slip ons. I think the first one was the the se 80491-07 street performance mufflers. I thought they were too quiet. Since then tried,
fullsac recore
jackpots
supertrapp se
se 64985-07
se 64985-07a
v/h ovals
v/h monster ovals
the se 64985-07 were quieter than stock
the ovals were too loud
the monster ovals were way too quiet
all others were not loud, just not a pleasing sound
in the end, i got a used set of 80491-07 se mufflers and now i like them. Never gave mine a chance to break in. They bark nice when twisting throttle and quiet down when cruising. Go figure...

Am I looking into a mirror???? I have pretty much full circle done exactly what you have with muffler options. Has the same SE streets and throught they were too quiet but never really gave them a chnce to break in. I have pretty much had all the slip-ons you have plus a few more. I am sure you can agree this is a major pain in the *** finding the perfect sound right! Long story short I ended up ordering a set of the new Bub 7 stealth mufflers and when I get them in a week I will report on how they compare to the SE's and if they open up and long term. Glad to hear you found your sound, no I gotta get mine!
Pumba11....for a while the wife thought i was having an affair with the ups driver.. i have moved on to looking for new handlebars. just ordered a set of wild1's 575.

Let me know how you like the Bub 7 Stealth's as I can not find a muffler I like as well. I finally went back to stock until I find one, guess I will wait and see if you like them.
