Has anyone seen this before?? I'm running 40 psi pressure and noticed these cracks this morning after a 350 mile ride on the interstate. The cracks go all the way around the tire on both sides of the center portion of the thread. It looks like its cracking where the compound changes. I don't know how deep they are but I can get my fingernail in. Whats up with this now?
I took it into the dealer. The SM had never seen one crack like this before so he is calling Harley to find out what to do. I left it till tomorrow. I'll let you know what they say.
I just spoke with the SM at the dealership and he said he didn't have time to call the factory so he just put a new tire on it. I'm happy with that since it was getting down there anyway I'll be curious if anyone else comes up with the same cracking problem. Maybe mine was just defective. Time will tell.
