Default 1998 Road King vs 2002 Road King

Hi Everyone, I hope someone can point me in the right direction.
I've been looking for a couple of months now at buying a used Road King and I think I have narrowed it down to one of these two bikes:
A. 1998 Road King Classic with 26,000 miles, Rinehart true duals, power commander, low profile air shocks, complete chrome front end including sliders, controls, jumbo bars and internal wiring, etc, etc
or
B. 2002 Road King Classic with 24,000 miles, It's a basic stock bike with EFI and the added slip-on Screaming Eagle Pipes.

Both bikes are in excellent shape and very well cared. Also both bikes are listed for the exact same sale price.
My question is, Which Road King would be a better purchase: A or B? And is there is anything I should be concerned or aware of with either year model?

Thanks again for your time and help.
Cheers

The accessories on the 98 would not add much if any value to the bike...say if you wanted to sell or trade it someday. I wouldn't give as much for it as I would the 02. I could be wrong but JMHO. Some really cool (and expensive) accessories on the 98 by the way. Its all in what you want.

I'd go with the 2002. It's EFI, newer and I would think being basically bone-stock less chance it's been beat to ****. The 98 is overprice I think.

go with the 02 better deal and easier to get parts for to make it your own....besides the 02 is a twin cam and the 98 is a EVO. as far as the 02 just open up the cam plate and check the tensioner's.

with-out seeing bike or knowing price difficult to say.
as mentioned above regarding extra's..the extra stuff does not normally add much to price.
Wonder if either was garaged, wrecked etc.
miles are low on both.
The 98 evo engine is very very reliable but uses the older M and M fuel injection..The older M & M is good if used with limited modifications (basically pipes/filter) if any other modifications are done reliability may diminish. Also many techs. have limited knowledge of this system.
If you are handy with tools and plan to keep it many years, i would purchase the best
looking one...

I have a '98 RK Classic and love it. It is a Red over white HD paint job which I have never seen on another bike. I like unique. That said, for the same money I would buy the '02 just because it is 4 years newer and will have a better trade-in/re-sale value. If you like the '98, offer a lower price to take the lower re-sale $ into consideration. Much depends on how how many miles a year your going to put on and if this is a stepping stone or a long term keeper.

FYI, 2002 is the best year for Twin Cams for several reasons.
