I am trying to replace a miniature lamp that is burned out. The original lamp is a GE 198, but can't seem to locate any. What is the difference in a 198, 1157, and 2057? I have a 2057 in now and it works, but don't want to damage anything electrical. The light is an added running/brake.
I did a little searching , and they should all be functionally the same.
The BA15D base , dual filament , dual contact setup is the same.
The candlepower and amp draw are very close.
The 198 might be slightly more heavy duty , filament stablity wise.
Should be fine with any of the three.
