My new bike is supposed to ship May 16th. Can't wait, I am already losing sleep, and time has never gone slower. I just turned in my accessory order for it. When I get it, I'll post some pics. Thanks for the great welcome to a new member of the forum. This is my first Harley, and I can't wait to ride.
Howdy Gary, time does seem to go by slowly when you are waiting for a new toy. I used to and still do look at a lot of bike mags to see what I like and don't like. I also spend a lot of time on this forum talking to fellow Harley lovers and that makes the time go by a little easier too. Hope some of my ideas help you pass the time. Good luck
I know the feeling. It seemed like months went by when it was only weeks, but the final delivery was so awesome. I trailered it home as it was raining the day I picked it up and all I wanted to do, was stop and ride it. It turned heads all the way home and I still love seeing it in my garage and know that it's finally a dream come true. I look forward to seeing pics of your new toy. Welcome to the family.
I remember well the waiting game, we've all done it. Nothing to do between now and then but read up on your ride, and think about all the cool things you're going to do to it when you finally get it!
I am supposed to pick up my new RK today, May 5. The ride home is 150 miles. The weatherman say 70% chance of thunder showers today and tomorrow. Oh well, Tuesday might be the day.
Be patient, the day will come. Take a long first ride and get to know your new ride.
I bought a new 05 Road King FLHRI 5 weeks ago. The trip home was 160 miles. It is a great feeling. Just had my 1,000 mile service done. Wait til the weather is nice to pick it up. You want to keep it spotless as long as you can.

I am glad I decided to wait until Tuesday to pick up the bike. It rained over an inch and the state highway was closed due to flooding. It would have been cold and wet. It is still pouring outside now.
Hope Tuesday is a good day. The long range forcast predicts sun and 72 degrees.
