Thanks guys. I'll leave them like they are I guess,....angled forward.
My thinking was that if they were angled forward, they would be pulling the air in towards the center of the bike instead of pushing it out away from the bike. Maybe I'm just over thinking things.
AND...I didn't want to look like an idiot if I was the only one with them angled foward......(of course I still look like an idiot,....but that doesn't have anything to do with the wind deflectors.

As others have stated. For the Heritage the breaks are to the rear, but there are cutouts for the optional engine guard. On the Road King they angle forward with out any cutouts. Because there are no cutouts for the RK engine guard you can not reverse them. If you did it would reduce your steering travel.
