Default Wind deflector ?

The RK I bought has the chrome wind deflectors on the front forks. They have an angled edge that runs the length (top to bottom) of the deflector. Is this angled edge suppose to angle towards the front of the bike or angle back? The way they are installed now is angled forward but it seems to make more sense to me to angle back so that it would deflect the wind around the bike.

They only fit one way on mine and the side angled edge is to the back with the top angled edge to the front.

Thanks. Mine are just the opposite from yours. I think they may have put them on the wrong side (right on the left and left on the right). I'll try to change them and see if the they'll work on the opposite side.

Thanks again.

The angle on the Heritage is just the opposite of the angle on the dressers. I can't remember which is which, and I'm not where I can see the bikes, but they will only fit one way.

Regards,

Bill

Do they work? I've never tried them.

On my 2006 RK, the tops are bent BACK. You can mount them the other way, but they interfere with the steering. Be careful. As mounted, they do the job quite well.

the ones i have for my RK, the sides angle forward to direct the air farther away from you to the sides.

Thanks guys. I'll leave them like they are I guess,....angled forward.

My thinking was that if they were angled forward, they would be pulling the air in towards the center of the bike instead of pushing it out away from the bike. Maybe I'm just over thinking things.

AND...I didn't want to look like an idiot if I was the only one with them angled foward......(of course I still look like an idiot,....but that doesn't have anything to do with the wind deflectors.

Thanks again.
