Hey guys I just purchased a 2007 police glide and i am wondering your thoughts on a extended warranty. 1019 dollars for 2 years. Thanks appreciate the help
I paid $1199 for 4 years on my '06 this March. Bike had 9700 miles on it, just hit 13K.
Going in on Tue for check engine and battery light. My testing per the shop manual is making it look like an "open" stator. Going price for dealer repair/replace based on other forum members posts, on that is just over $900. If that turns out to be the case, then I'm considering it money well spent. I'll know more next week on the final outcome. At least I don't have to worry about any more than $50 out of my pocket.
I never buy extended warranties, but it sounds like KSGG may get at least part of his moneys worth. You just never know. If you think your going to do a lot of miles it could be worth the peace of mind. No trouble with mine in 3 years, but I've only done a little over 4k per year.
I think I am about to get the extended service plan before the factory one runs out in December. I ride about15 to18000 miles per year. I have had some oil leak issues and I don't want to pay for them out of my own pocket so it may work for me too.
