I`m running Rivco`s with 2.5 in baffles. Wasn`t loud enough so I took out the fiberglass. I can hear the tunes just fine.

Pipes alone should not have any effect on the burn condition of the engine. Lean, (or rich, for tha matter), starts at the air cleaner. If there has been no change on the intake side, the engine is only taking in the same amount of air as it did when tested at the factory.
Switching out the pipes is a common mod and often, my local included, done and endorsed by the dealers.
