Default 2010 Road Glide

I just got back from a demo ride on a 2010 Scarlet Red FLTR and I am impressed. It is the first opportunity I have ever had to ride a Road Glide. I have an 07 FLHT and it just doesn't compare to the ride and handling with that new frame, tires etc. Darn shame I just can't afford it.

I was impressed with my demo ride too. I have the money but just not sure I want to part with it. May just ride the 08 for a couple more years.

for the 2010's i think harley dropped the ball actually. from my point of view, the 09's were a better bike. they had an actual taillight, a real windshield, and full rear suspension. if i could find a new vivid black one, i'd trade in my streetglide immediately for it. the 2010's on the other hand, do appeal to a younger crowd who's more interested in stylin' and profilin' rather than knocking down some serious hiway miles. shorter suspension, ala streetglide, no taillight, uncomfortable streetglide seat, and no windshield to speak of, and catalytic converters in the headers. the scarlet red ones do look sharp, but in my opinion, as i've been studying this for a while now, is that the 09 is a far superior bike in all respects if you're looking for a roadglide.

Your right Jim. Find the last of the 09 and keep it forever...Plus the 09 is going to be cheaper(MSRP and dealers will be wanting them gone)

I now have 600 miles on my 2010 RG. Installed my old 12" KW windshield and cut out the muffler baffles.
Coming from a 04' RG, the chassis is tighter and now with the new positioned faring the 12" windshield works much better.
I gutted the muffler and it still sounds quiet. The Cat is very restrictive.
The seat is not bad, but the bike feels higher.
No Power Comander or pipes available yet.
The rear tail lights, so I'm told ,are very bright due to the new reflector design.
I like it, now to get my 1k miles on it.

The only thing I don't like about my 08 is the wobble every now and then, but other than that I love my RG. I just put a set of SG shocks on it and it lowered it just right. I do however need to change the oil to a heavier grade but that will be my winter mod.

I was up at my Dealer on Saturday. I took a long look at the 2010 RG....Than I walked out side and looked at my 2006 RG....I got the money with a good trade deal but... I'm keeping my '06. It's just getting broken in...... and who wants to start making Bike payments again?

Street Gliders are going to think one of us Road Gliders paid you to make this statement. Hell, trade it in! It's only money! LOL.

the 2010 fugly looks sportier and nicer, if you can't change a seat, windshield and shocks to fit you, ya don't belong on a harley

It's funny, I didn't even think twice about a Road Glide before the 2010 model (no offense to the previous years owners) but after riding the Road Glide Custom and Street Glide back to back, the RG fairing works SO much better for me, and the new styling really looks cool IMO.

So, had it not been for the RGC, I wouldn't have a RG on order I would probably have went with a Street Glide and had to throw a bunch of wings and deflectors on it to get rid of the dirty air behind that fairing and never been 100% happy anyways.
