I have an '08 SG that is pretty much bone stock. Will a set of SE CVO mufflers ('97-'09) fit my bike? How much difference in sound (volume/deepness) is there from stock to these?
I have a set on my 06 Road King They are very quiet mufflers.Sound is pretty close to the stockers maybe a little deeper but they do let her breath easier. The stockers made the bike sound like an air compressor.

medic:
Picked up a set of '09 CVO SERG slip-ons, removed the stock baffles, and installed FullSac's 1.75 replacement baffles.
Definitely has that "quiet power" sound with nice throaty rumble. But will bark if you twist the wick!
Lot's of discussion at the CVO Forum, and FullSac's website has a sound bite.
Highly recommend you look for a set from an '09 SERG (straight tip) or the '09 SEUC (tapered tip). Removing the stock baffles is a piece of cake with a good dremel and a lot of patience.
Have you looked on flea bay? I know last year when I was going to sell some stuff they had a ton of em for like 50 bucks, so I kept the two brand new still in the box CVO muffs I have.....wink wink
