I bought a floorboard extension kit for my 2010 Street Glide and the parts that came in the kit make no sense to me from looking at the bike. Do the 2010 SG have a different floorboard than the 2009 by chance? They shipped me the kit for the 2009 because he said it is the same. It does not come with instructions because he claims I don't need them! I didn't want to start just taking parts off trying to guess what to do so thought I would check with you guys and see if you can help me. The bolts that appear to be holding the boards on are extremelly tight and that appears will be a challenge in itself. What's the trick to removing the stock bolts? Do I need to use an impact and a special allen wrench to remove them?
That kit is for '08 and earlier models. The '09 & '10 take a different style kit. Check my links below for pics of the '09 & '10 SK5 or SK6 kits available.
The 2 front bolts on each side screw into a nut so you can break those with an allen wrench and a socket or box wrench. The rear 2 bolts on either side are bolted into the frame. An allen wrench or a socket allen should be used. Loctite may have been used too.

The guy I bought them from said they work on a 2010 as well. I guess I need a Soos kit!! What should I get 3/4" or 1"? I really have no idea what would be best. I was simply looking to move my feet out away from the bike.
