Thank god her and the one cashier are "Friends" and she seems to find us discounts once in a while!!!!!

I was looking at these on line (Ebay) and it said they could NOT be used on Chopped tour paks. Any ideas out there as to why? It's the exact same hinge setup as the King or Ultra tourpak. What am I missing?

You're missing the "-08A" part suffix mentioned in post #5 above. That's the newer version that works on the older King and the chopped tour paks; the older version has the "-08" suffix with the excl. you mention.

Those chrome upgrade hinges compliments my Tour-Pak. Loving it every time I look at it and puts a *grin* on my face. I know you will.

What's $50,

Thorey

Easiest/cheapest mod I've done. Since you'll have to do the same work to remove the old, then get the chrome hinges. They look much nicer.

Can't imagine the stock replacements would be much cheaper then $50 from HD? But I do know the Premium hinges look 100 times better!
Did mine about 6000 miles ago - love looking at em.
Like mentioned above - since you're drilling out the old hinges anyway, it's the same amount of work to upgrade.

+1, definately not gonna be much price difference, and the improved looks are well worth it.

********** Update************
I just want to thnk everyone for their comments and replys. I had the OL pick them up on Thurs. and put them on Fri. They really do look great over the stock ones!!!! One problem though. I come to find out after I had 99% of it all installed that the MOCO shorted me 1 frickin screw!!!!! I open everything this on the work bench over a piece of cardboard and an old t-shirt to keep the prettys pretty and not scratched up from metal shavings on the bench. Took care of the "thump/bump" I was feeling while riding and could not find. The old ones were egg shaped in the hinge bolt area and they were only 2 years old. Thanks again!!!

Backed into a parking slot along with 20 other baggers today.
ONE GUY had these new hinges installed.
Quite impressive seeing all the tourpaks and THIS ONE stands out.
I thought this was another $50 HD gimmick.
NO WAY.
These hinges look GREAT!!!!

I swamped out for the new ones personally I think they look a whole lot nicer and much cleaner took about 45 min to change them.
