Default Ultra Classic Seat Height

Hey I have a question for someone out there with a Electric Glide… is there a way to lower the frame/seat height down a little bit so I can stand flat footed without having to basically reposition myself on the seat every time I come to a stop… I just recently moved up from a 98 Fatboy to a 98 Ultra Classic, the nice thing with the Fatboy was when I came to a stop I could stand flat footed without moving myself around on the bike but I can’t do that with my Ultra Classic… anybody with some advice to what I can do here would be greatly appreciated…

Default Lowering the seat height

I've got a 2005 Ultra and came from a Yamaha Silverado, with my 30" inseam no way I can
stand flat footed on the Ultra but could easily on the Yamaha. There are a bunch of different lowering kits, some just for front end, back end or both. Here's a link I found
doing a quick search on google for lowering a Harley-Davidson:

http://www.westendmotorsports.com/su...1146_2515.html

What I did was ordered a Corbin seat - 2 reason: 1, I had ridden 900 miles in a day
on the comfort stitch and didn't want to do that again. 2. I wanted to be lower to the ground without lowering the bike. I tried a couple of other HD seats and none really lowered me much. I chatted with Corbin and gave them my weight, measurements over the phone and they shaped the seat to get me a little lower. I think they achieved this by making
the seat a little narrower thus my legs were closer together giving me a little more reach.
Still not flat footed, but better. Corbin would re-adjust until I was happy if I paid shipping back to them. But I learned to live with it. Not being flat footed only matters to me when I'm trying to back the beast up! ;-)

The Reach seat will lower you about 1.5". 52544-05A

send your seat to Mean City Cycles...
That is what I did......they lowered the seat for me 1 1/2 inches and pushed me foward 1 inch. It cost $100. Well worth it......
Also they put memory foam in for a more comfortable ride!!! I am 5'6" with a 30" inseam and I can FLAT FOOT the bike easlily. Just ell them how much you want to be lowered......

I've got an '07 Ultra, am 5'-9" with 30" inseam, and have no problem flat footing it on the stock set-up.
