The poor fit of the stock seat and bars is probably the most often discussed issue with RK's. However, once you've customized your bike so that it 'fits' you'll wonder why you didn't buy it sooner.

Sitting 'in' a bike versus sitting 'on' a bike is purely a personal thing. After owning a RK for a bit, you'll figure out that it really isn't a good reason not to buy one. I love Softails, but I just wouldn't be happy with one after riding the RKC.

I'm another RKC fan. Went from a nightrain to the RKC and will never look back. I to am vertically challenged but don't have an issue with the stock height. Keep in mind, your feet are going to be on the floor boards a lot more than they are on the ground. The RKC is just a different animal when it comes to being stopped. I just roll forward in the seat a little more and stand up if I need to plant my feet better.

The Heritage style handle bars for the RK are cheap and easy to install. Big difference in comfort. I know people will disagree but I have had three different HD seats and they all sucked. Get a name brand aftermarket seat and you will be much happier. I personally prefer Mustang.

No matter what bike you get, your going to end up changing things anyway.

FYI - RKC....cruise control is a standard feature The bags are bigger too. Air ride. Throttle by wire ( good thing )

I just traded my LR last week for a Road King and love it. The seat to me is very comfortable, as I don't find myself squirming in the seat after 50 miles or so trying to get comfortable. We went for a 172 mile ride on Sunday and not once was my *** or back sore. Had that ride been on my LR, it would have been a different story. I would like to change out the bars though, I seem to get a slight pinch in the shoulders after being on the bike for a bit.

Lovin' the RK and don't miss the Dyna yet.
