Took the old EG in for an oil change and new rear tire, yap I know I just didn’t have the time. They called me when it was done so I picked it up but before I got home it was raining, thought I heard something then, anyway been kind of busy with the job so didn’t get a chance for a good ride until last weekend however was wearing the full-face and couldn’t tell. So today I went to the half helmet and “oh yes” but couldn’t tell where it was coming from, sounded like the right side, just a rattle and not always there. Stop to check “even checked the pipes “HOT” but couldn’t find anything loose. By the time I got home it was worse. Still couldn’t find anything. Started to walk away stopped went back, kicked the left tailpipe nothing kicked the right side and thought it was going to fall off.
I guess it’s always the last place you look. Should have remembered the rear tire change and picked it off the first time. Don’t know if I should be pissed when I’m actually relieved.
well it's a good thing that you did catch it before your pipe was lying in the road. surely they're very busy in the service dept, and just got too hurried to exercise a through check before releasing your bike to you. be sure to let the service manager know, so that they'll keep an eye on their work. someone just got in a hurry, or wasn't paying attention as they should have been. it's good that you found it before it caused real problems.

I get your point and you wouldn’t catch me throwing the first rock. You know, I put those pipes on a few years back and I don’t think they could fall off but man if one did it could sure make for a fun ride. Just happy it was simple, each time I heard it the thought started with $$$$$$$ out of my pocket.
well at least you didnt have a rear tire put on (actually i changed both to metzlers at 5k) whiel my bike was for some finishing touches still after the crash and got it home and said hell I may as well detail this thing and found the right side rush slipon was junk.. Looked like they rolled it across the cement ?... They made it right but I told the owner if they kept doing that sh*t they would be going out of business soon .. This is an Indy ...
So long as it wasn't gonna cost me a lot of $$$$$, I would likely be relieved! ..... Nice of ya to take it all in so well by the way.
Well I’m not the bad a$$ that I thought was in the younger day and I don’t think I would like the look of a tool box sticking out of my a$$. The guys at the shop have helped me out on a number of occasions so I probably will not even bring it up.
