It would be worth it for me to buy the Harley battery. After all your original battery lasted somewhere in the neighborhood of 6 years. Thats pretty good.

I replaced my battery about 3 months ago, with a HD one. When I checked with the dealer they weren't any more expensive then the other places I checked. The dealer said that HD had just dropped the prices on their batteries.
I had just been to the J&P shop in Destonation Daytona. The price of their Interstate was basically the same as the HD brand at the dealers.

In 1977, Yuasa Battery Japan formed a joint venture company with General Battery Corporation in Laureldale, PA. With the formation of Yuasa/General Battery, the new company manufactured its first battery in 1979, producing standard conventional and Yumicron 12 volt batteries.

Yuasa/General Battery engineered its first YMF14L-2 maintenance free and gas recombination battery for the powersports aftermarket in the early 1980’s. Additionally, the Company developed the first AGM, YTX14-BS specifically for ATV applications.

In 1987, Yuasa/Exide Battery Corporation evolved when General Battery sold its company to Exide Corporation. Yuasa/Exide Battery Corporation purchased Exide’s Industrial Division (Motive Power and stand by batteries) in 1991 to form Yuasa Inc.

In 2000, Yuasa Battery Inc. was established when Yuasa Inc. sold its industrial division and sealed lead acid business to Enersys.

In 2004, Yuasa Japan merged with Japan Storage Battery to form GS Yuasa Corporation.

Today, Yuasa Battery Inc. is the number one powersports battery provider, supplying 7 out of 8 powersports original equipment manufacturers in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Plus, depending on your model bike, I think for most Harley's you have to reroute the cables, and they are reversed on the Odyssey's. There are some fitment adjustments as well.
I used an Oddessey for about a year and a half. The real problem with them is that its REALLY hard to get & keep them charged properly. They need a minimum 10A to even begin to get them charging.

I went back to a stock battery from the Stealership and it works as well, if not better. It spins my 10.5:1 120" motor just like it was stock.
