Default Push Back Location

Occasional when I park I need assistance to move the bike back into or out of a parking location. I have one of my buddies place both hands just above the headlights and push with just enough force to move the bike.

Any opinions on a better location to push the bike?

Any chance he could stand behind you, grab the guard in front of one of the saddle bags and pull on that?

I prefer the forks just below the fairing.

My wife prefers the forks below the fairing also! Ride-a-long reverse gear!

My wife uses the forks as well. I make sure she has her gloves on so she doesn't leave fingerprints on the chrome.

Look at where you're parkin'! If it's gonna be uphill to get out of the parking spot, *back in*! It's a motorcycle, not a Buick...........

And if you are by yourself? You might start thinking about installing a reverse gear. If you have no problems handling it otherwise, a reverse gear might be worthwhile.

all it usually takes is once to learn that you don't park where you'll end up having to back up, uphill. just saying, man.

I was thinking along those same lines...I used to drive an old truck that didnt have reverse gear...or much else for that matter...I had to be strategic in my parking..It didnt push as easily as a bike either...
