I'm putting on new polished SS rotors on my 06 Ultra. On install should blue (med duty, hand tool removeable) Loctite be used or stronger formula? My manual does not cover rotor intall.
Also I am installing Kevlar pads as well, as I was told they are softer and will not tear up the rotors like stock (semi-metallic) ones would.
Before installing rotors lay them flat on a table and align all the holes and mark with a piece of tape makes it easier to align the during install u can also use a pencil sticking it through the holes to assit in aligning rotors and no loctite not needed if properly done
There is loctite on the new bolts, that is if they are Harleys bolts, if your chrome bolts don't have any on them, use some Blue Loctite, you should also run a tap down the holes in the rim to get the old thread locker out or you won't get a good torque reading.
