Default ignition Lock
Hey I was wondering if anyone could help me. I have a 2007 FLHTCU and I locked the ignition switch when I when into a store, and it took me 20 min to get it unlocked. It was like some thing wore out in the locking mech. Now at home I can not get it to turn at all to lock.

I generally use a graphite powder lubricant for my ignition where the key goes in. You may have to take it off and adjust the tumblers. If under warranty, have the dealer do it.

Does it help if you push the bars to the left just a little as you try to turn it?

You might check to see if anything is blocking your forks from turning full left.

No I can turn the handle bars in to the locked position and lock the forks but I can not turn the key into the lock position. It is like it is the wrong key for the bike. I tried and I can get the locking switch off the the bike, but what good that will do I don't know. can I re-set the tumblers, if I can take off the switch? or does it have to go to the dealer.

That's what I was going to ask. Mine gets a bit stiff if it's not locked to the left exactly "right".

Spray wd40 in lock. If that doesnt work go to a locksmith he will pick the lock and make an new key

Mine did that last week. It felt like it didn't want to lock, then I couldn't get it unlocked. I messed around for 5 minutes and then it unlocked. When I got home, I sprayed PB Blaster into the lock, switched it a few times and now it's really smooth. Still, I'm worried that it will happen again. Like you said, it was like I had the wrong key!

Default lock
Pop that baby out and lube it up , be carefull not to turn it on the way out though, straight up , use white graphite grease

we talkin bout the long rod with the flat spots on it? or the barrel part where the key goes in?
