I have just purchased a 2000 FLH Standard and have also purchased a new helmet and I cannot wear it as it vibrates too much. I have changed it to a Nolan 102 and this has helped. Are their any other options, modifications to help this problem? It starts at 80 kmph and finishes at 100 kmph. Thankyou.
I have the same problem on my Road King Classic above 55-60mph with my half helmet, I am going to try my HD flip up (it is actually a HJC Sy-Max with Harley Davidson painted on it). I think it is a combination of your hieght versus the windshield hieght causing buffeting.

Not windshield height as much as other factors.
The air that is buffeting yoiur head is coming from underneath.
Try a set of "lowers" on your forks.
You will be amazed.
no1likhim is correct, it's coming from under the sides of the fairing, get the lowers.

You can also stablized your half helmet further, by wearing either a doo rag or a bandana underneath. This also helps reduce the amount of sweat to your helmet liner.

Good post here - I noticed some buffeting as well when I wore a different helmet yesterday (I wore my HD BONES Half helmet instead of my vega half )
