Well now it all depends... I've had 9 back surgeries and I bought the Sundowner with the adjustable back rest then sent it to Alligator Bob and he customized it for me with real leather... it was pricey but worth every cent. It makes me nuts that folks spend thousands on paint and bling and forget the seat....

IMHO, you will need to actually sit and ride, ride, ride on a seat before making a decision. I know hard to do. or be prepared to shell out some $$$ using the process of trial and error.

my 2 cents: start with Mean City Cycles using your stock seat

for my streetglide, the stock seat was horrible, i thought till i put on a sundowner. after a 700 mile ride, i removed the sundowner, sold it, and went back to the stock seat. then i found a roadglide seat. this roadglide seat was far superior in all ways to both the stock sg seat and the sundowner. perhaps cause i'm 6'4" tall, and the sundowner foam just seemed to go dead in the first couple hundred miles, but it was also butt ugly. for me, the rg seat is great. just my opinion though.

I have the sundowner also with the adjustable backrest and love in. When riding 2up you can leave the backrest in or remove it in 2 seconds.
