I happen to own and ride bikes and I happen to have ink. Am I a biker? Lord, I hope not. Every guy I know who uses that term is a jackass.

I know what a RUB and a Poser is.
Real biker, not a real biker, tatoos, no tatoos, I don't care either way. I personally don't have any, but I'm the only person in my family (two brothers, mom and dad) that doesn't, (or didn't).

HE doesn't know what a "real biker" is, but knows what a "RUB and a Poser" is ...

I would assume that would include me, although I live in a RURAL area, so I can't be a RUB. I would guess I'm a "Poser" because I'm not a 1%er, and I'm not a member of a gang ... er ... CLUB ... er ... GANG ... er ... CLUB! I've been riding since I was 7, have been working at the same place for over 28 years, have a wife and family, 2 of my three kids in college, and I own my own home, again, in the country on about 3 acres. I ride a Harley because I WANT to, and I DO like to wear some of the clothing. Call me what you want, that's YOUR opinion ... but it's MY LIFE and I think I'll keep it!

Ride safe!

Loving the ride requires a bike and you. If ink made the ride better or the bike faster I think lots of people would get ink. As it is ... ink makes nothing but marks into skin.

No ink here, but even before buying my first bike 3 months ago, my wife had been talking about us each getting one. I've looked several times, but have not see the right one yet.

design your own. it'll mean more to you. if you are artistically inclined, you can give the tattoo artist everything he needs. if not, he'll be able to work it up for you.

None here. THought about it a few times, but just haven't found the one that I can't live without. Nothing against them, just not for me. If I do, my sons and I were talking that we'd all get the same thing. Maybe the family crest or something like that. No burning desire to have one though. Doesn't have anything to do with being a biker. I've been riding for over 40 years without tats, seem to do fine.

Having ink does not make you a biker...but it does show your cool!

I believe this thread could have, should have, stopped right here!!! That is an example of a perfect rhetorical question!

FYI: Leviticus 19:28 (that would be in the Old Testament)

Oh yeah, have one tiny tat I did myself when I was about 14 years old. Haven't felt the need to get anymore in the last 40 years. It is an interesting question of "why" some people get tats and some not. Although 99.9% would deny it, I would say that most of the people getting tatoos today do so because they are like sheep and feel the need to be like the group. Most of us are like this from time to time and to one degree or another, its human nature.
