Now that our R&D is pretty much finished up on the 09 bike I am going to build the RK, likely a Procharger and changing up the brakes, wheels and suspension with a performance/retro theme.

Default 2010 Roak King Classic with Big City Thunder baffles

Don't know if I'm up for that.

I have a 2010 FLHRC and did the stage 1 and put on Vance and Hines Twin Slash rounds. Like you, I found the bike quiet..way to quiet from what I wanted. I drilled holes in the baffles - not any better. I did put the Big City Thunder baffles in and it was deeper for sure. I then cur the baffle completely out of the V&H pipes. Now it sounds alot better - still not that cracking/throaty sound I want.

I am in New York and had 1 dealer tell me that all 2010 FLHRC have cats in them, I had the other dealer tell me that only California models do. Anyone know how to tell?

Also - anyone have a 2010 FLHRC that they have had success in making sound like a true Harley. I am not afraid of loudness or touching obnoxious.

Thanks all

I have an '09 Road King standard. I've only been riding it for a couple of weeks, but this is a great bike. It has cruise control, Heritage-style handlebars, and the security system. The detachable windshield provides enough protection but lets the wind-in-your-face feeling come through. I also have the quick detach backrest and rack; I usually ride without them. Plenty of power for plenty of cruisin'. I'd say go with a King, but that's just my opinion. You end up making it yours regardless of what you get.

Your having trouble getting sound because of the cat, all 2010 Touring has a catalytic converter in the head pipe located just after the oxygen sensors. If a dealer tells you only the CA models do then you don't want to do business with them because the fact they all have cats was covered in the 2010 MY technical bulletin. Check out the Fuelmoto Jackpot head pipe if your looking to loose the cat and run slipons.
