Usually I just slow down to about 5mph and wife jumps from 2nd story balcony. Only missed twice in 3 years. Dismounts I ride under a grab bar at about the same speed and she just hoists herself back up.

Excellent question. My hen is pretty short and has trouble getting on and off the road king. She nearly pulled both of us over once when she got on so I had been letting her get on first in the driver's seat then scooting back to the passenger seat. I'm going to have her do it as mentioned above.
Nice to see a question that is rarely asked which is in stark contrast to the weekly rain gear question.
How does one mount for two-up riding with rain gear on?
For those rare times when my SO goes with me I get on with the bike on the jiffy stand and then she mounts with the step-up and through motion. She tried mounting first, but was not comfortable with it.
Also, we both mount from the right side (it ain't a horse).
LOL. Don't want to startle the beast...
On the subject of center stands, if the bike is on it already, we'll mount rider then passenger and ride off. If we're both on the bike and stopping (getting gas, for example), I don't even try to put the center stand down with a passenger on. Maybe it's just me, but that's risky -- putting the weight of the bike and two bodies on my right leg while I reach back with my left to find the centerstand lever, then flip my weight to the lever to roll the bike up. I'll just balance on two legs for a quick fill or have the wife get off if we're going to stretch out.
My wife and I are short so the me on first doesn't work for us. She gets on first with bike on jiffy stand while I steady the bike, I plug her intercom in then slide on. We have tried many ways and this is what is the most comfortable for us.
