I am trading in my 07 Ultra for a 010 Ultra that is supposed to be in next month, so naturally I have been doing a ton reading up on what my exhaust options are. I have ordered a set of Vance & Hines dresser dual headers for the 010 but was not sure which way I wanted to go with the slip ons.
I was checking out SuperTrapps website to see if my old SE slip ons would fit my 010, there website said my old ones would fit up to 09 but in 010 the part number had changed, I called them and asked if it was a fitment issue or something different, the girl said they would fit my 010 but they would be extremely quiet and I would not like them because of the catalytic converter in the head pipe.
When I told her I was taking the cat headers off she sounded surprised, probably not as surprised as some their customers are going to be when they buy these 010 slip ons thinking it is a fitment issue.
I got to thinking how loud those slip ons would have been if I put them on with a set of true duals, man they would have been loud.
h/d has beet pretty lenient on exhaust changing . I wonder with the new bikes and the cats in the pipes if they will void any warranty's because of EPA violations ? Good luck and keep us posted on your findings and impressions .
