Yes I had that problem so I re-routed my clutch cable behind my handlebar and no more problem.

My clamp points toward the rear which put a small dent in my tank after a few full left locks of the handlebar $%^!#@ The new p-clamp is too large IMO.

mine scratched my windshield and leaked tranny fluid I had my local guy fix it and he put a shorter cable on that doesn't touch my windshield and is much cleaner looking he also put a spring on it under the engine real nice no more worries looks great and will never leak again
