Slip ons for 2000 Ultra

I just added a 2000 ultra to my garage and it has the older SE slip ons. The right pipe is discolored in 1 place pretty bad and I want to replace the SE's. I installed a power comander to do away with the HD download which I think was the reason for the lean running and the discoloration. The guys at the parts counter at my dealer are recomending the Python slip ons. I have Rush slip ons on my Heritage and love the sound but want to be able to hear my stereo on the bagger. I'm looking for comments on the Pythons or recomendations on others. I don't want to spenf the money for the Rineharts and am trying to stay in the $400 or less catagory.

I had Python slop-ons on a 2001 EGC (before I totalled it). This was carb bike but I had no problem hearing the radio. Mufflers had a deep sound when you got on it but then it leveled out.
