I installed a Sony DEH-P680MP With a Kit 45.00.. that allows the use of the thumb controls.
I also used the cup that is on a standard and fabracated a plate for the radio, used the center bolt and a piece of plumbers tape, pulled the radio tight, and secured the tape
to the top of the cup and ... DONE...

The people at biketronics will sell the mounting kit without the module if you contact them. When I asked them a few months ago I think they said it was $45. I ended up buying the whole kit. It seemed worth it not to have to cut into the harness and to have the hand controls. The auto volume adjust is a nice feature too.

Right now they only have them for the Electra Glide models with the batwing farings.
