Default Radio Installation

I'm considering installing a radio on my 05 Electra Glide Std. My question is can I install a car radio or do I have spend $1000 for the HD radio?? You can get a nice car radio for a fraction of the price. Whats so special about the HD radio?

Hey Bob

Many people have been very happy with the "retro radio" kit from Biketronics. It gives all mounting hardware, and an adaptor that allows certain Sony car radios to work using the handle bar contols on your bike. You should be able to get the kit, a decent high power radio and a pair of speakers for about $500.

Mike or Donna at biketronics can be reached at 805-777-7209

Hope this helps.......PEZ

Hawg-Wired also offers a kit to work with various models of Sony radios. They also have a speaker kit as well. The HW kit is compatible with your handlebar controls.
