Default Base decal

For those that ride on a military installation or other place that requires a decal...

Where did you put it?? I had it on my lower fork on my VTX but don't want to do that on the Harley(Street Glide). Definately not going on the paint or the windshield..

????

My dealer sells these chrome plates for inspection and base decals. On my wide glide I mounted the base decal between the down tubes. I have seen them mounted down near the floor boards also.

Picked up a Chrome mounting plate from Barnett HD in El Paso- I would call them and have them send you one- costs $16 for Chrome version- FYI DOD Decals require a larger plate than the typical state inspection stickers- sold online. I mounted the plate to my front left brake caliper star bolts. No problem with this setup at the front gate.

i hear ya. i put mine on the back side of the lower fork leg on my dyna. it was a clear sticker with the words having the only color and it doesnt stand out. i personally would rather do that then put a inspection plate on my bike to mount it. thats just one more useless piece sticking off the bike and messing up the lines of the bike

I made an aluminum plate that mounted to the caliper bolts on my heritage. I would take it off for road trips. On my Ultra I have them on the wind screen but when I change the screen out I will make a bracket again.

I have seen specific plates for these in our area. If you can't find one PM me and I can pick one up for you and send it your way. Being around Ft Hood everything is geared towards the military.....................

BTW it is chrome and something like 1.5 inches by 4 inches, bit of a rectangle.
