Motolights are a very high quality product and a great company to work with. If you have any questions let me know TECHNCYCLE GEAR is an authorized dealer.

I love 'em, but they are NOT worth $400.00 to me. My headlight modulator is worth way more to me, and it was only $125.00 or so.
I don't think they throw all that much light at night personally. Not for the price tag. They do look a MILLION times better than the cheap things people are going to tell you to buy at Walmart.
You can sometimes run across a set for sale used.
.....are u running them both? Can the motolights operate with the high-beam modulator?

I have the 35w lights on my BMW. When they were installed (previous owner), they came with a lifetime warranty. So when one of the bulbs was out recently, both bulbs were replaced for free. This was done at the BMW dealer no charge at all to me. The main purpose of the 35w lights is to make you more visible to others. They are great for that. As far as seeing the road, they add a little bit extra light, but not a whole lot. I'm looking to add a pair of the Moto's or Piaa's to my Ultra.

If you want a set of mock-motolights for less than $20, check out the Platinum Burner series of driving lights at Walmart. I found this tip on another forum.

You'll have to modify the mounting bracket by enlarging the hole to just over 3/8" to slip it onto the lower disk brake bolt. (Use a 10mm 12-point socket to remove and re-install the bolt).

They use the same HR-16 50watt bulb as the motolights...and if you ever need to replace them, the bulbs are available at Menards, Lowes etc as they are the same bulbs used in some christmas lights and track lighting.

At over 400 bucks are you crazy? Put a Hid kit on your bike and call it a day. Those look like over priced crap that I would find at a BMW motorcycle showroom.

I am considering an HID kit, but I worry about durability. If the HIDs fail, would the Motolights throw sufficient light to get me home?

I got some slim balast no name hids for my harley at a car show to try out. They are 6000K 35watt HID low and hologen high beam for like 70 bucks. The only thing I did was bump up the fuse 5 more amps and no problems after 3000 miles. They are bright as S!@#. The kits are being made better every year and even the really cheap ones are pretty good. For a good quality kit go with O-nex. I run them in all my cars with no fails.

Those motolights look like they would give off some good light.

The Motolights work fine with a headlight modulator, why wouldn't they?
I have mine more for people to see me, rather than to light up the road, which I think they fail at completely. But I can be seen in daylight FAR FAR FAR better than 99.9% of other bikes.

Anyone else do these lights...looks pretty nice. How do you wire them? To the Acc plug under the seat? Would like more info if anyone else has done this and can share.
