Bought my roadglide used; and the motolights were on it. I'M SO HAPPY I'LL NEVER RIDE A BIKE WITHOUT THEM AGAIN! The difference at night is very dramatic, and my friends that ride with me love having me along at night as well.
I've had mine for a bit and wouldn't ride without them. The biggest deterrent for most people is the price. Very expensive compared to other systems. You can get brighter lights for a lot less but I doubt you'll get the Motolight quality and durability. My opinion. Good luck.
Got 'em, got 'em for FREE !!! A man I bought some stuff from just gave them to me. I had seen them a month earlier and wanted them, but wouldn't pay the price.
I love 'em, but they are NOT worth $400.00 to me. My headlight modulator is worth way more to me, and it was only $125.00 or so.
I don't think they throw all that much light at night personally. Not for the price tag. They do look a MILLION times better than the cheap things people are going to tell you to buy at Walmart.
You can sometimes run across a set for sale used.
If you're NOT running the hard lowers... a cheaper option is the HD fog lamps... yeah, I know the P&A book says they don't fit... but just don't read that line...
I have had mine for a while and wouldn't ride without em. They throw a good beam at night and increase visibility a lot in daytime too. That being said my HD dealer signed on as a dealer (at my request) and I bought em at 20% off through my Harley dealer. A much better price then direct and same warranty service etc.

I put a set on my Road Glide this past weekend. The quality is much better than most. Installation was fairly simple also. Make sure you get the 50 watt bulbs......they are quite a bit brighter than the 35's.
If you aren't going to add fairing lowers, HD's fog lamp kit is a great value at $150. Don't know why HD doesn't list them as fitting RG's since many here have installed them on their RG's.
I had the HD fog lamps on my bike for 3+ years and would still have them except that I installed fairing lowers. When I did, I bought motolights and agree with the other posters that they are an excellent, though pricey, product.
The motolight chrome blems are a good value, relatively speaking, at $350 w/ 50W bulbs. I have them on my bike and am very pleased with their appearance and function.
