Default Quick PCV/FuelMoto Question

I just received my pre-mapped PCV from Jamie/FuelMoto today for my '09 FLTR's Stage 1 upgrade (Bub7 Ture Duals + Arlen Ness Big Sucker - nothing else). I was looking at the enclosed PCV installation instructions and have a question. They say to install it in-line with the ECM (easy enough) and then to install the O2 sensor eliminators on both senors.....but not much else. I would've thought the sensors should stay connected as they still need to communicate with the system (I thought). I'm thinking maybe this has to do with the need to remap or tune the PCV since the next steps talk about the AutoTuner.....which I don't have to do since I'm pre-mapped.

Isn't it as simple as plug it in-line with the ECM, put the seat back on and ride?

Yes, but you need to unhook the O2 sensors and plug in the eliminators into the wire plugs that you disconnected from the sensors. Tuck the o2 sensor wires up out of the way. I stuck a couple rubber caps I had laying around on the wires coming off of the o2 sensors to try to keep water out of the plugs if I ever hooked back up for some reason.

Nope, all you have to do is plug the PCV in line and unplug the O2's and put the terminators in the O2 sensor leads. The terminators basically give the computer a default base number for the O2's and the 02 sensors aren't used at all.

Once the pcv is in line and the terminator are in place your done.

Anything else is for the auto-tune system.

So that means I could also eliminate the O2 sensors all together and plug the bungs in my new Bub7s. Right? I see no point in installing sensors & hiding wires that I'm not gonna use.

Unless you have a problem out on the road and would want to take the PC-V out and go back to the ECM, I'm not sure what would happen with the sensors gone.

that is correct, if you have new pipes, and do not plan to go back to stock ECM or run the auto tune. When you jumper the O2 sensors the ECM thinks they are in place and responding correctly.
