Well since nobody replied I am guessing nobody has any so here is my opinion now that I bought some in case you might be interested in new pipes. They sound deep and great.
Hey RB,
I just bought my first HD.... It's a 2010 Screamin Ultra! Wh00 wHOOO!
I am considering which slip ons to add also. My dealer recommended the Pythons for my bike also. Makes me wonder if they make a little over the others in profit, or if it's really a superior pipe. It's made by Vance and Hines, so that speaks loudly to me as far as quality.
Wondering, what year/model did you put the Pythons on, and did you
re- map? change the intake?
Are you getting any deceleration pop? Any change in performance?
(Low end or high end)
Lots of questions, and will appreciate any response
Thanks,
Zig
Nice bike bo. Mine is a 09 ultra classic triglide and I really like the sound of these pipes they have a deep throat. Yes I get a little deceleration pop but no big geal. I did not have it maped because my dealer told me it was not necessary and I plan to change cams and ait intake this winter and I will have it done then. I noticed a good amount right off the bat of extra power both at bottom and top end. I highly recommend these Pythons and the are only $369. through drag specilties. Sliped right on no problem had it done within 30 min. Let me know if I can answer anymore questions.
By the way RB I hope you post when you get the cam work done.
My dealer said I wouldn't recognize the way the bike runs when I get the cams an lifters . 'course he wants to sell me Rinehart head pipes too, and ... this and that. and $$$$
Had them installed on new 2010 Ultra Limited at dealer before I rode it out of lot. Previous bike had Dual Rineharts. This time going to stick with stock header and Pythons. Nice sound. medium noise level. Sounds great and I can still hear the radio.

The cams will make a lot more difference than the stage 1 & dyno tune did.
I did the lifters with the cams because I had 16k on the motor and the wrench recommended them... since then two other HD wrenchs said that they don't usually replace them below 20k, but it did't hurt, just adds another $100 for stock HD's lifters...
Had Pythons on my RK when I picked it up new. Hated em. Sounded like a gold wing to me. Maybe Im going deaf who knows. Maybe its just the difference of the exhaust being really behind ya, as this bike is my first bagger. After a couple rides, I went back to my dealer paid the couple bills difference & had Rineharts put on. Like them much better. Nice rumble, certainly not what I would consider loud. Although, I can hear em when going down the road. Nice rides through the canyons with steep declines.... no decel pops at all. For me, I am much happier with the Rineharts than Pythons.
