How many have installed LED accent lights to highlight the engine? Everytime my wife sees them on other bikes she comments that I should get some. Though there are other add ons that I would rather spend the money on, they look like they would help cagers see your bike before turning into it while sitting in a parking lot at night.
Wife got me some for my birthday and I installed them last week. I found the install fun and easy and the lights look great! Not everybody's cup of tea but it's my bike. Got the lights from Boogey lights and like them a lot. Real bright! Got the ultimate engine kit plus extra 39" so I could light under the bags. Used 24" of lights under each bag and didn't use anything under the frame (under engine) as recommeded. Will probably buy more for frame in the future. Also got the TNT sticks for the front wheel but don't have chrome wheels so it's not real bright. Also have the UV purple lights so that could be part of the problem. Had I known I would have bought 2 for each side. They are a lot smaller than they look on the site. Haven't been able to take photos yet since I live in Florida and it keeps freakin' raining. I really like the look though!
I have the uv purple on my black bike and I get lots of compliments! Especially from the ladies. Think about it... most bikes look the same in a dark parking lot unless yours is glowing!
When I first saw them years ago,I wasn't really interested. Just not my cup of tea. But lately, their kind of growing on me. If I'm noticing these bikes, maybe the cars are also. I just have a question. Are they legal in all states to run while traveling down the road? Has anybody been pulled over for this?Seems like some states are pretty strict when it comes to lighting issues,ie DOT regulations.
Had a great set of white led's placed around the engine and chrome. The installer did a great job. Even installed quick release clips at each light in case I had engine work done. I did. Stealership even commented how easy it was to undo them, work on the engine, and clip the lights back together. White is right in VA as blue, or shades of blue, and red are illegal.

Did you have HDs or an aftermarkets version installed?
I have them, not sure why tho. I have one under each saddlebag, the driver floorboards, 4 above engine, a couple up front. They look good at bike nites but running with them on is a no no in PA.
